- Certification Details
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or the Red Cross.
- Telemetry Technician Certification.

- Job Details
- Provide advanced ECG monitoring while assessing patient status through ECG strip analysis and arrhythmia interpretation.
- Identify and respond to potentially life-threatening rhythm changes, initiate codes, record rhythms during codes.
- Perform continuous EKG monitoring with accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias.
- Troubleshoot monitoring problems and appropriately respond to all monitor alarms.
- Perform electrocardiograms in multiple settings including proper electrode placement.
- Communicate appropriately and clearly with charge nurses, co-workers, and physicians.
- Enter and verify orders in the computer system.
- Retrieve laboratory results from the computer system and bring results to the attention of the charge nurse.
- Ensure documentation meets current standards and organizational policies.
- Manage and operate monitoring and medical equipment safely and correctly.
- Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Telemetry Technician.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Schedule Information
- Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM.
- Hours per day: 11 hours.
- Hours per week: 34.5 hours.
