Assistant Technician - 1st Shift

Location: Tolleson, AZ
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
Pay Rate: $17.35 per hour
Overtime: May be required based on business needs.

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Technician to join our team in Tolleson, AZ. This role is responsible for inspecting product functionality, conducting testing procedures, troubleshooting electronic equipment, and assisting with repairs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct product testing using specialized electronic testing equipment.
  • Inspect electronic devices to verify functionality and identify defects.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electronic equipment.
  • Perform soldering and de-soldering using both surface mount (SMT) and through-hole techniques.
  • Repair, modify, and replace electronic components as needed.
  • Disassemble and reassemble electronic devices for testing and repair.
  • Operate automated repair equipment, including BGA machines, when required.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete repair documentation using computer systems.
  • Ensure all work meets established quality performance standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all warehouse safety policies, including Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience operating electronic testing equipment.
  • Ability to use repair tools, including:
    • Oscilloscopes
    • Spectrum analyzers
    • Voltmeters
    • Soldering irons
  • Proficiency in surface mount (SMT) and through-hole soldering and de-soldering techniques.
  • Ability to operate automated repair equipment, including BGA machines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient computer skills with accurate data entry capabilities.
  • Ability to maintain organized and accurate records.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous electronics repair or technical experience.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with reading electronic schematics.
  • Ability to resolve routine technical issues independently and escalate more complex issues when necessary.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Equivalent work experience in electronics or technical repair is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment.
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequently bend, twist, reach, push, and pull during daily tasks.
  • Perform repetitive physical movements throughout the workday.
