We are seeking a Board Certified Psychiatrist for a locum opportunity covering an Adult/Geriatric Inpatient Psychiatry service in Massachusetts. This is a weekday-only assignment with no call and the potential for extension.

Assignment Details

Schedule

  • Monday Friday
  • 8:30 AM 5:00 PM
  • No weekends
  • No call

Practice Setting

  • Geriatric Inpatient Psychiatry
  • 22-bed inpatient behavioral health unit
  • Epic EMR

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Adult and geriatric inpatient psychiatric care
  • Psychiatric evaluations and medication management
  • Daily rounding and follow-up care
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary behavioral health team
  • Documentation in Epic

Patient Volume

  • Up to 8 patients per day
  • Average daily census: patients across the unit
  • Average length of stay: days

Team Structure

  • Three psychiatrist coverage model
  • No NP/PA support
  • Multidisciplinary inpatient behavioral health team

Requirements

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified in Psychiatry
  • Active Massachusetts medical license
  • Experience in adult and geriatric inpatient psychiatry preferred
  • Epic experience preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Current flu vaccination required (no waivers or exemptions)
  • Epic training required prior to start
