Associate Commissioner of Intelligence Division

The NYC Department of Probation (DOP) is a world leader in working creatively and effectively engaging with people under court-mandated community supervision. Following the best current data on "what works," staff at DOP engage in meaningful relationships with those on probation to enhance community safety and decrease recidivism. Under executive direction of the Deputy Commissioner and with wide latitude for independent judgment, action and decision-making, the Associate Commissioner provides direction and administrative review to a management staff responsible for the administration of probation supervision and services for those who are aged 16 and over at the time of the offense. Duties and responsibilities are carried out in accordance with the codes, rules and regulations of the New York State Office of Probation and Correctional Alternatives and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
