Pediatric Hospitalist Physician

Enterprise, Alabama - Locums Pediatrics Hospitalist Opportunity (IMLC Accepted)Availability

• Assignment Type: Locums
• Coverage Dates: September 4-8, 2026
• Schedule: Pager call
• Shift Hours: 6am - 6am
• Coverage Type: Call only
• Typical coverage is one weekend per month, with occasional holiday coverage and ongoing future opportunities based on the monthly schedule
• Call Response Time: Within 30 minutes
• Call Ratio: 1:1

License & Certification Requirements

Required:

• Active Alabama Medical License or IMLC
• ACLS
• BLS
• NRP
• PALS

Clinical Responsibilities

• Coverage for newborn deliveries only
• Stabilize infants requiring a higher level of care until transfer
• Admissions required (infrequent)
• Assigned newborn rounding patients
• No ER call
• No OR callback
• No ventilator management required
• No ECMO required

Practice Details

• EMR: Medhost
• Trauma Level: III
• Level I Nursery (No NICU)
• Approximately 700-800 births annually
• Average 2 newborns per day
• Expected patient volume: 0-5 patients per shift
• 6-bed department

Support & Facility Details

• Infants requiring higher levels of care are stabilized and transferred to an appropriate facility
