Outpatient Only No Call Up to $395K + Loan Repayment

A leading integrated healthcare system in Harlingen, Texas is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Gastroenterologist to join a well-supported outpatient GI practice with a focus on comprehensive digestive health and Hepatitis care.

Position Highlights
  • Outpatient-only Gastroenterology practice
  • MondayFriday schedule: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
  • No call responsibilities
  • No weekends or holidays
  • Low daily patient volume: approximately 510 patients per day
  • Strong nursing and administrative support

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation
  • $300,000$395,000 salary

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive Gastroenterology care in the outpatient setting
  • Diagnose and manage GI conditions including chronic liver disease and Hepatitis
  • Develop diagnostic and treatment plans for GI patients
  • Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans
  • Participate in teaching, mentorship, and potential research activities

Procedural Responsibilities
Physicians should be comfortable performing a broad range of GI procedures, including:
  • EGD
  • Colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy
  • ERCP
  • Polypectomy
  • Liver biopsy
  • PEG placement
  • Esophageal dilation
  • Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
  • Esophageal banding and sclerotherapy
  • Esophageal stent placement
  • Additional diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures

Qualifications
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
  • Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary care teams
  • Interest in teaching and mentoring preferred
