Job Overview
Superior Tool Service is looking for a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. As a CNC Operator, you will interpret client specifications and set up and monitor machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate production of custom cutting tools.
Responsibilities
Set up 3, 4, or 5-axis CNC grinders (ANCA, Walter, Chevalier, TRU-TECH), including loading materials and programming machines based on job specifications
Write and edit CNC programs applying basic math, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure
Read detailed part and assembly blueprints
Monitor and inspect produced parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, making adjustments throughout each job
Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functionality and minimize downtime
Identify and resolve issues related to tool wear, machine malfunctions, or programming errors
Use optical comparators, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
Maintain accurate records of machine setups, tool changes, and production data
Work closely with team members to optimize production processes
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
