Hematology/Oncology Physician

Coverage Needed:

• Start Date: July 2026
• End Date: January 2027
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Weekend call rotation: Fri (4:30p) - Mon (8a) - every 5th or 6th weekend
  • 2 Weeks per month - Preferred
• Locum or Locum to Perm available

Clinical Details:

• Practice Setting: Free-Standing Cancer Center
• Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric
• Practice Composition: 65% benign hematology, 35% malignant oncology
• Number of Physicians: 7
• Number of APPs: 6
• Average Patients Per Day - Outpatient: 25
• Average Patients Per Day - Hospital (Call/Rounding): 20
• Providers required to treat more than 12 patients per day
• Clinical Area: Oncology - Outpatient and Inpatient Setting
  • Inpatient is a requirement
  • The outpatient service and the hospital service are separate (provider will not cover both on the same day)
• EMR: EPIC
• Support Staff: Nurse Oncologist for Chemotherapy Administration
• Required Duties: Participation on a Tumor Board, Mgmt. of Bone Marrow Transplants, Blood Bank, Orders Tests, Orders Images, Prescribes

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology
• Active South Carolina license
• BLS & DEA
• Clean background required for Emergency temps
• Self-Query NPDB report is required at the time of presentation (Should be pulled within 30 days)
