13-week contract with options to extendSchedule consists of (4) 10-hour shifts or (3) 12-13 hour shifts per week, plus 1 rotating Saturday each month; no call requiredWeekly availability required; preference given to providers who do not rotate weeks on/weeks offWeekend availability (Saturdays and Sundays) preferredAll time off requests must be submitted upfront and approved prior to acceptance; time off requests exceeding 5 consecutive days will not be approved during Summer monthsMust live more than 50 miles from the facilityPatient population ranges from age 13 through end of lifeLevel 1 trauma center with a large anesthesia team including CRNAs, attending anesthesiologists, and anesthesia residentsAnesthesia team covers multiple operating rooms across main OR, offsite anesthesia locations, outpatient surgery ORs, and GI center roomsPractice settings include inpatient and outpatient; locations include main OR, outpatient surgery center, and endoscopy centerEMR system: Epic (preferred experience)Hospital bed size: 600All CRNA scopes of practice required; cases will NOT include open heart/thoracic, pediatrics, obstetrics, or performing peripheral nerve blocksMinimum 2 years of experience required; academic background and Level 1 or 2 trauma experience preferred; recent inpatient experience preferred though outpatient-only candidates will be consideredVirginia state license requiredBoard certification requiredACLS and BLS certifications must be valid and completed through the AHA2 professional references or reference contact information required at time of submittalIf provider has any prior affiliation, education, or work history with UVA, this must be noted in the presentationFacility:
This facility is a Level 1 trauma center and major academic medical center with 600 beds, offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. The anesthesia department is robust, supporting 33 main OR suites, 16 offsite anesthesia locations, 12 outpatient surgery ORs, and GI procedure rooms, staffed by a large multidisciplinary team of CRNAs, attending anesthesiologists, and anesthesia residents.
