TAKE OWNERSHIP OF THE SITE AND HELP BUILD A STRONGER FIELD TEAM

Kingdom Construction is expanding its commercial construction team and seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead day-to-day field execution across Central Texas. We need a hands-on field leader who can turn drawings and project requirements into a clear work plan, coordinate the trades, and follow through from mobilization to final closeout.

This position is focused on commercial construction. You must bring direct experience personally leading commercial projects, with the ability to explain how you managed sequencing, inspections, safety, workmanship, documentation and turnover. Our immediate needs include commercial renovations and buildouts, where clear coordination and attention to existing conditions are essential.

You will work with company leadership, project management, estimating, subcontractors, suppliers, design professionals, inspectors and clients. Alongside delivering projects, you will have the opportunity to help improve field procedures and develop the people and processes that support our growth.

WE ARE READY TO INTERVIEW IMMEDIATELY

This is a time-sensitive hiring priority. We can make ourselves available anytime, including evenings and weekends, and welcome virtual first interviews to get the conversation started quickly. We are aiming to hire next week and will discuss the earliest realistic start date with qualified candidates. Please share your earliest interview availability and time zone.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

Mobilization and project readiness
Review the drawings, specifications, approved scope, schedule and estimating handoff before work begins.
Understand trade responsibilities, project milestones, site constraints and items that need clarification before installation.
Plan access, deliveries, staging, material storage, housekeeping and daily site logistics with the project team.
Verify existing conditions and identify conflicts early, especially where renovation work interfaces with existing systems or occupied spaces.
Coordinate protection of existing finishes, access routes and adjacent operations as required by the project plan.

Daily field leadership and trade coordination
Direct daily site operations and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, deliveries and inspection readiness.
Establish clear priorities and confirm that crews understand the current drawings, approved scope and sequence of work.
Coordinate architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other applicable trade interfaces.
Identify missing information, installation conflicts and resource constraints before they cause avoidable rework or delays.
Maintain professional accountability with trade partners: communicate expectations, document issues and follow up through resolution.

Scheduling and progress control
Translate project milestones into practical short-term and look-ahead schedules.
Track prerequisites, inspections, submittal needs, deliveries and trade handoffs that affect upcoming work.
Compare actual progress with the plan and communicate emerging delays promptly.
Work with project management and subcontractors on realistic recovery plans when work falls behind.
Coordinate adjusted work hours or sequencing when needed to meet project requirements.

Safety and site organization
Lead daily safety communication and reinforce the project's safety requirements with subcontractors and site personnel.
Identify unsafe conditions, intervene promptly and escalate concerns through the appropriate company process.
Maintain a clean, orderly site with attention to access, housekeeping, material storage and protection of workers and others affected by the work.
Coordinate safety and access restrictions with the project team, particularly on occupied or phased projects.
Document incidents, hazards and corrective actions accurately through established company procedures.

Quality, inspections and closeout
Check workmanship and installations against the current approved documents and scope.
Verify readiness before inspections, coordinate required access and trade attendance, and track corrections to completion.
Identify quality issues early and arrange correction before subsequent work conceals or compounds them.
Maintain punch lists and follow up on outstanding work with clear responsibility and completion expectations.
Coordinate testing, final inspections and turnover requirements with project management and the responsible trades.
Support the collection and verification of field information needed for record documents, warranties and closeout materials.

Documentation, communication and changes
Keep accurate daily reports documenting work performed, manpower, deliveries, progress, constraints and significant site events.
Maintain organized progress photos and records using the company's project tools.
Identify and communicate requests for information, drawing conflicts and potential scope changes promptly.
Document changed conditions and obtain required approval before directing work outside the agreed scope.
Keep clients, leadership and the project team informed through clear, professional updates; communicate problems with practical next steps.
Preserve a reliable record of field decisions and follow-through so project management can track commitments and cost or schedule impacts.

Field-process and team development
Help establish consistent routines for daily reporting, look-ahead planning, quality checks, trade coordination and punch-list management.
Recommend practical improvements based on lessons from the job site.
Mentor less experienced team members and model professional communication, preparation and accountability.
Work collaboratively with estimating and project management to improve future project planning and handoffs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITIES

At least 10 years of professional construction field experience.
At least 5 years personally leading commercial construction projects as a superintendent or equivalent on-site field leader.
Direct experience leading commercial renovations or buildouts from mobilization through inspections, punch lists and final closeout.
Ability to independently read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and scopes across the trades involved in a commercial project.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, trade interfaces, inspection readiness, quality control and practical field problem-solving.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and maintain an actionable look-ahead schedule.
Confidence using smartphones, email, electronic drawings, daily-report tools, progress photos, spreadsheets and project-management platforms.
Clear written and verbal communication with crews, subcontractors, clients, project managers, designers and inspectors.
Sound judgment, reliable follow-through and willingness to raise problems early rather than allow them to become hidden delays or rework.
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for commuting and travel between Central Texas sites and meetings.
Availability to work on site, travel between project locations and work adjusted or extended hours when project demands require it.

Applicants should be prepared to describe projects they personally supervised and their own field responsibilities. Commercial experience must be demonstrated through the work you led; a title alone does not establish the required experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Occupied-site commercial renovations and phased construction.
Established Central Texas subcontractor relationships and familiarity with coordinating local inspections.
Developing or improving field reporting, scheduling, quality-control and closeout procedures.
Mentoring field leaders or helping develop a construction team.
Working closely with estimating and project management to identify scope gaps and improve project handoffs.

WHAT SUCCESS WILL LOOK LIKE

You will establish an organized site, a clear view of upcoming work and dependable communication with the project team. Trade partners will understand their responsibilities and prerequisites. Inspection and quality issues will be identified early, progress will be documented, and scope changes will be raised before work proceeds without the required approval.

As projects move toward completion, you will drive punch-list resolution and support a complete, orderly turnover. Your contribution will also include practical improvements to field routines and the development of team members who can carry those standards forward.
