Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

We are seeking an OB/GYN Physician for locum tenens coverage in a hospital-based family birth center. This role requires full-scope OB/GYN coverage, including labor & delivery, surgical procedures, and occasional clinic support.

Assignment Details:

• Ongoing coverage
• Minimum 1 week per month
• Flexible scheduling based on provider rotation

Schedule:

• 24-hour call shifts (8:00 AM 8:00 AM)
• No fixed schedule

Practice Setting:

• Hospital Family Birth Center
• EMR: Epic

Work Details:

• Full OB/GYN coverage
• Labor & delivery management
• ER-based GYN cases
• Occasional clinic coverage (high-risk / late-term OB)

Patient Volume:

• 75 OB patients/month
• deliveries/month
• Female patients (ages )

Procedures Required:

• Vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• D&C
• Ablations
• Management of miscarriage and abnormal bleeding
• OR procedures on unit

Support Staff:

• Nursing team and unit manager
• House supervisor
• On-call specialty support (general surgery, cardiology, etc.)
• Clinic support staff

Requirements:

• Board Certified OB/GYN
• Active Virginia license required (no licensing offered)
• BLS & ACLS certifications
• DEA required
• Flu vaccination required
• Clean background preferred
