We are hiring for a nocturnist position. A nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our close-knit team of 15 physicians and 3 APPs at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo.
  • Our team comprises clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds who are supportive and collaborative with other staff and departments.
  • We have multiple committees that our providers can lead or join.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified/eligible physician assistants.
  • Hospitalist experience is required.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling:

  • Flexible scheduling is available. Full-time positions follow a 7-days-on, 7-days off rotation.
  • Shifts for our nocturnist position are scheduled 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
  • We are entertaining candidates for full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Our night clinician will perform admissions in addition to cross coverage.
  • The hospital has a closed ICU with intensivists on hand 24/7. Procedures and codes are not required.
  • We use EPIC EMR and have access to our internal informatics platform.

Rewards and Compensation:

  • $170K base salary, with opportunities for bonuses based on performance and growth. Excellent total rewards package.
  • $25,000 commencement bonus.
