Aerospace & Defense - Mechanical Engineer - Melbourne, FL

Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and production of high-reliability electromechanical products used in aerospace and defense applications. This role will work cross-functionally with electrical, manufacturing, quality, and systems engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions while ensuring compliance with stringent industry standards. Description Responsibilities: Design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks. Develop products through the full engineering lifecycle, from concept through production. Create detailed drawings, GD&T, and engineering documentation. Perform tolerance stack-ups, FEA, and root cause analysis. Collaborate with manufacturing to support DFM/DFA initiatives. Support qualification testing, validation, and design verification. Drive continuous improvement and resolve production-related engineering issue Profile Ideal Candidate: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. 5+ years of mechanical design experience within aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments. Proficient in SolidWorks or Creo with strong GD&T knowledge. Experience designing electromechanical assemblies, machined components, and precision mechanisms.
