Overview

• Patient Population: 100% Adult
• Practice Setting: 95% Outpatient Clinic / 5% Inpatient Hospital
• Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care, evaluate new patients, manage follow-up visits, participate in occasional inpatient consultations, and provide sporadic night call coverage.
• Required Procedures: Intrathecal Chemotherapy (Required); Intracavitary Chemotherapy (Highly Preferred)
• EMR System: Epic
• Support Staff: Dedicated Medical Assistant, Advanced Practice Providers assisting with hematology follow-ups and new hematology patients (not new oncology patients)
• Patient Volume: Approximately patients per day, including 2 3 new consults
• Coverage Needed: Full-time, Monday Friday
• On-Call/Weekends: 3 6 potential night call shifts per month (5:00 PM 7:00 AM); No weekend coverage required

Requirements

• Board Certified in Hematology or Medical Oncology
• Hematology/Oncology Fellowship
• Kentucky Medical License or IMLC with Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
• BLS & ACLS Certifications (Required)
• Outpatient and Inpatient Hematology/Oncology Experience (Required)
• Intrathecal Chemotherapy Experience (Required)
• Intracavitary Chemotherapy Experience (Highly Preferred)
• Self-Query NPDB Report (issued within 30 days of presentation) (Required)
