Urology Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certified Urologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Potsdam, New York. This is a full-time position supporting an acute care hospital experiencing a current staffing shortage. The role includes a mix of outpatient clinic, inpatient consults, procedures, and optional call coverage.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide general urology care including clinic visits, consults, and procedures
• Perform bread-and-butter urology cases
• Conduct inpatient rounding and post-operative care as needed
• Participate in optional call coverage based on availability
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Urology
• Active New York license (required at submission)
• DEA required
• BLS certification required
• Epic experience required
• Clean work history with no gaps greater than 30 days
• Malpractice disclosure (if applicable) with physician explanation

Working Hours

• Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Clinic hours may extend to 5:30 PM (Mon-Th)
• Optional 24-hour call shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM)

Travel & Reimbursement Coverage

• Lodging: Covered at reasonable single-occupancy business hotel rates
• Airfare: Economy/coach flights covered at lowest reasonable cost
  • Flights over $500 require prior approval
  • Must be booked in advance when possible
• Rental Car: Economy vehicle rental covered; SUV allowed November-April with pre-approval
• Personal Vehicle: Mileage reimbursement available if using personal car
• Transportation: Uber, taxi, train, and other transportation covered with receipts
• Tolls: Fully reimbursed with receipts
• Travel Expenses: Reimbursed with itemized receipts per facility guidelines
