Pecan Jacks Ice Cream & Candy Kitchen is opening in Charleston this summer, and we're looking for the founding crew to help bring it to life. We're a family- and community-focused ice cream and candy shop with a Lowcountry soul - handcrafted ice cream, pralines, brittle, and chocolates made fresh and served with genuine Southern hospitality. What You'll Do
As a Team Member, you're the face of Pecan Jacks - greeting every guest, sharing what makes our ice cream and candy special, and making sure they leave with a smile (and probably a scoop of something new). You'll keep the front and back of the store clean, stocked, and running smoothly, all while delivering the kind of hospitality Pecan Jacks is known for.

Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience

• Greet every customer with a warm "Welcome to Pecan Jacks."
• Deliver the full Pecan Jacks experience - sampling, storytelling, and genuine hospitality.
• Champion a "Customers Are Always First" mentality.
• Answer questions, make product suggestions, and share knowledge of our products and company history.
• Communicate specials and other locations to guests.
• Move with a sense of urgency during high-volume rushes.

Production & Retail

• Scoop and serve ice cream using proper serving weights.
• Prepare and make waffle cones.
• Maintain ice cream case and dipping cabinet cleanliness.
• Maintain proper supplies and cleanliness for candy and ice cream stations.
• Stock and rotate product using FIFO (First In, First Out).
• Operate the cash register and count change accurately.
• Complete daily checklists to maintain operational excellence.
• Follow proper sanitation and health department regulations for food handling.
• General cleaning: dusting, sweeping, mopping, windows, trash, patio.
• Complete additional tasks and duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Outgoing, customer-service-oriented personality with exceptional manners.
• Strong communication skills; comfortable engaging guests face-to-face.
• Works well in a team environment and treats coworkers with respect.
• Able to follow multi-step directions and listen well.
• Basic computer skills (iPad POS) a plus.
• Must be neat, clean, and well-kept.
• Able to lift 40 lbs and stand/scoop for extended periods.
• Available to work nights and weekends (until 10:30pm, depending on minor status).
