Cardiology - Noninvasive Physician

Locums - Potsdam, New York, General Cardiology Opening

Start Date:ASAP (anticipated early August 2026 due to credentialing and privileging timeline)

Assignment Duration:6-9 months

Schedule Details:Monday-Thursday8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Coverage needed approximately 3 weeks per month

Client strongly prefers one physician who can provide consistent coverage for 3 weeks per month rather than multiple providers covering sporadic weeks.

Practice Setting:Outpatient Cardiology Practice

Provider will float between two facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Outpatient Cardiology clinic approximately 3 days per week
• Supervision of stress tests approximately 1 day per week
• On-call coverage from 4:00 PM - 8:00 AM as needed to fill scheduling gaps
• Hospital consult service coverage on an ad hoc basis
• Read nuclear portion of stress tests as needed to support other providers (preferred but not required)

Patient Care Environment:Provider will initially work alongside an APP; however, the APP is expected to leave at the end of September.

The provider should be comfortable practicing independently in a solo cardiology setting.

Cardiac Imaging:Board certification and experience reading cardiac imaging studies, including nuclear stress tests, is preferred.

Ability to read nuclear studies is highly desirable but not required.

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Cardiology - Required
• New York License in Hand - Required
• EPIC Experience - Required
• AHA or RQI Certifications - Required
• Experience reading cardiac imaging studies, including nuclear stress tests - Preferred
• Greater than 5 years of experience - Preferred
