We are currently seeking qualified applicants to work as a SBA (Small Business Administration) Loan Processor at our Colorado Springs, CO or Austin Texas region . The SBA Loan Processor role is a supportive customer facing position that is helpful in nature where much of the work can be accomplished at a steady, even pace. Knowledge of SBA lending practices and attention to detail are essential to ensure compliance and that process and procedures are followed. Interaction with customers requires a professional communication approach where the focus is on completing tasks pleasantly and accurately. The SBA Loan Processor will interview SBA loan applicants to elicit information; investigate applicants' backgrounds and verify references; prepare loan request papers; and forward findings, reports, and documents to the loan administration department. Review loan papers to ensure completeness, and complete transactions between loan establishment, borrowers, and sellers upon approval of loan. Essential Job Functions include (but are not limited to): Loan Origination: Obtain business entity legal documentation. Coordination with departments to obtain appraisals, valuations, credit reports, loan documents etc. Order title commitments, environmental reports, tax transcripts, etc. Loan Servicing: Accept payments on accounts. Follow up on past due payments, with phone calls and/or emails to customers, as needed. Monitor and clear all loan exception items, by contacting the borrower, insurance company, county, etc., to keep files updated with info required by the loan documents. General Administrative: Provide general customer service, including answering customers' questions. Schedule meetings and/or appointments. Prepare responses to correspondence as directed by loan officer. Refer customers and prospects to Treasury Management and Retail Managers, in order to meet their financial needs. SBA Specific: Understanding of System for Award Management (SAM). Create customized SBA Checklist (working from template), detailing required documents needed to obtain bank and SBA approval and for closing. Collect info from checklist, organize in electronic folders, and send follow up emails (with updated checklist) to the borrower to keep them on task, in completing the submission of all items on the checklist Prepare commitment letter from ABC SBA template for lender to review and send. Assist the SBA lender with managing loan exceptions to keep the loan in compliance with bank policy and approvals. Assist with SBA semi-annual report. Assist with response to SBA annual audit. Prepare SBA 10-tab guaranty package. Submit guaranty package to SBA. Assist with follow up on liquidations.
