Physician - Emergency Medicine


Job Details:

  • Seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to cover the equivalent of 2 FTEs in a locum capacity

  • Must be Board Certified in ABEM or AOBEM

  • Must be flexible to work days, nights, and weekends

  • Preference for providers open to working at main hospital campus as well as affiliated freestanding emergency departments

  • Main hospital campus may consider shifts less than 12 hours; affiliated freestanding emergency departments require 12-hour shifts

  • Shift times available: 6:00 AM 4:00 PM, 10:00 AM 8:00 PM, 3:00 PM 1:00 AM, and 8:00 PM 6:00 AM

  • Level I Trauma Center experience required

  • Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, and ATLS (must have completed ATLS at least once)

  • All standard emergency room procedures required

  • No call involvement

  • Average patient census of 106 with a 34% annual ER admission rate

  • Most common cases include penetrating trauma, a wide range of general emergencies, critically ill patients, complex procedures, and a high volume of transfers accepted from other hospitals

  • Support staff available for all areas except pediatrics

The emergency department handles a broad and complex patient population, including significant trauma cases, critically ill patients, and transfers from surrounding hospitals. The facility is supported by robust staffing and resources, with occasional psychiatric robot-assisted services, making it a dynamic setting for experienced emergency medicine physicians.
