Position Summary:
Provide surgical technologist support in the operating room as a member of the cardiac surgery team. Perform surgical duties under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years surgical tech experience
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
  • BLS certification (current)
  • CVOR experience

Core Responsibilities:

  • Participate as part of the heart/cardiac surgery team
  • Prepare and maintain sterile field and surgical instruments for procedures
  • Assist during operations by passing instruments, sponges, and supplies
  • Anticipate surgeon needs and respond promptly during cases
  • Follow OR policies, infection control and safety protocols
  • Work under direct supervision of an RN for assigned tasks

Facility/Contract Notes:

  • Allied Health / Surgical Technician specialty
  • Travel contract; credentialing and onboarding required prior to start date
