The Opportunity:
SHADE Industries is seeking a growth-oriented Sales Manager who values earning credibility from the ground up. This unique leadership path is designed for an experienced sales leader willing to spend their first 12-24 months as a top-producing Outside Sales Consultant. By mastering our consultative high-ticket sales process, SketchUp design tools, and complex engineering fundamentals in the field, you will build the technical authority required to recruit, coach, and scale our sales team into the future.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Phase 1: Field Sales Mastery (Months 1-24)
- Execute the complete consultative sales cycle for custom tensioned fabric structures, working qualified inbound leads and targeted self-generated accounts.
- Pre-qualify prospects, conduct site visits, and build custom 3D design concepts in SketchUp to demonstrate project feasibility.
- Utilize CRM tools rigorously to manage pipelines, track project stages, and achieve high conversion rates.
- Learn every aspect of our supply chain, design-build capabilities, and structural engineering requirements first-hand.
- Phase 2: Sales Leadership & Team Development (Transition Phase)
- Step into formal management, taking ownership of hiring, training, and mentoring new sales personnel.
- Establish sales processes, performance metrics, and CRM pipeline standards to improve team close rates and deal size.
- Conduct field ride-alongs, deal-coaching sessions, and strategic pipeline reviews with sales reps.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on market expansion, pricing strategy, and multi-state growth initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Direct experience managing and coaching a sales team.
- Track record of personal success selling high-ticket B2B or high-end residential services.
- Unwavering willingness to act as an individual contributor in the field before stepping into full management.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to grasp structural engineering and construction concepts.
- Excellent phone skills, CRM management discipline, and pipeline organization.
- Reliable personal vehicle, clean driving record, and ability to pass an extensive background check.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Prior background in design-build construction, specialty sub-contracting, architecture, or technical sales.
- Experience creating or implementing standardized sales playbooks and CRM workflows.
- Familiarity with 3D design tools (SketchUp, AutoCAD) or architectural drawings.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive initial structure (base salary around $70k + uncapped commission + car allowance), yielding 100k-150k+ while producing.
