Job Description: Job Description BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:Will be responsible for managing and delivering critical projects to DoW customers and contractorsThe manages key IR&D and customer projects by overseeing all aspects of engineering developmentsWork closely with executive and departmental management to ensure project successCoordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projectsEnsure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budgetMonitor and reports progress of assigned projects to both executive management and to external customersAssist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibilitySet deadlines and assign responsibilities to the allocated development teamGenerate presentations and host customer reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, etc. and track action items to completionDevelop comprehensive project plans that meet internal standards and tailor plans to meet customer requirementsManage and assist in the development of project related customer data itemsTrain development staff on project plans and use plans to monitor and control progressManage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniquesMeasure project performance using appropriate tools and techniquesReport and escalate issues to management as neededPerform risk management to minimize project risksCreate and maintain comprehensive project documentationAssist in the development of technical proposalsTrack project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goalsMeet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysisUse and continually develop leadership skillsContinuously improve product development processesAttend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiencyPerform other related duties as assignedDevelop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needsEvaluate and assess results of projectJOB REQUIREMENTS The applicant MUST have the following qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, engineering degree preferredMinimum 10 years of electronics engineering project management experienceExperience in managing electromechanically projects for Department of War (DoW) contractorsProficient using computer software including MS Project and Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) softwareExcellent project planning and implementation skillsSelf-starter with the ability to work from verbal and written instructionsExcellent problem-solving skillsDetail orientedAbility to multi-taskAbility to gather data, compile information, and prepare reportsAbility to solve problems in a timely mannerStrong organizational skillsU.S. Citizenship is mandatory Additional Desirable Experience:Degree/Certificate in Project ManagementTechnical proposal writingContract management - Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARS) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS)Security Clearance Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
