Cardiology Physician

We are seeking a Board Certified Cardiologist for an ongoing locum opportunity in New Jersey. This assignment offers a mix of inpatient coverage and weekend call with a collaborative cardiology team and flexible licensing options.

Assignment Details

• Coverage blocks of 1 2 weeks
• Monday Friday with weekend call coverage

Schedule

• Clinic/Inpatient Hours: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
• Weekend call required
• Approximately 2+ weekends per month
• Weekend call rotation approximately 2:4 (non-consecutive)

Practice Setting

• Level II Trauma Center
• Oracle/Cerner EMR

Clinical Responsibilities

• Inpatient cardiology coverage
• Outpatient clinic responsibilities
• Weekend call coverage
• Adult and geriatric patient care

Procedures

• Echocardiography
• Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
• Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
• Treadmill Stress Tests

Patient Volume

• Approximately 20 clinic patients per day
• No routine inpatient admissions

Team Structure

• Large, established cardiology group
• Collaborative physician environment
• No APP supervision required

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Cardiology
• Fellowship trained
• Active New Jersey license or willingness to obtain
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• Cerner experience preferred
• Current NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) required for presentation

• Approximately days
• Licensing assistance available
