Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

An inpatient behavioral health facility in Mansfield Center, Connecticut is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide medical oversight and perform physical exams for adult psychiatric patients. This full-time role offers the opportunity to support a 56-bed unit and manage a daily patient volume in a collaborative clinical setting.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- Setting: Inpatient behavioral health
Responsibilities:
- Provide medical oversight for patients in an adult inpatient psychiatric setting
- Perform physical examinations and routine clinical assessments
- Manage care for approximately 10 to 12 patients per day
- Collaborate with the behavioral health care team to support patient treatment
- Document patient evaluations, findings, and care plans accurately and thoroughly
Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut Nurse Practitioner license
- Family Nurse Practitioner certification
- Experience providing care in a clinical or behavioral health setting
