Step into a rewarding locum opportunity designed for experienced CRNAs seeking a diverse and challenging clinical environment. This ongoing assignment offers exposure to a broad spectrum of surgical specialties across multiple inpatient and ambulatory settings, with the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative anesthesia team in a modern, technology-enabled healthcare system.

You'll practice at a Level II Trauma and Stroke-Certified facility, delivering anesthesia care for a wide range of complex procedures including orthopedic, vascular, thoracic, neuro, spine, pediatric, and obstetric cases. With Epic EMR, long-term assignment potential, and a varied caseload, this role is ideal for providers who thrive in high-acuity settings and value professional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer anesthesia for a broad range of surgical procedures
  • Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative anesthesia care
  • Manage airway, ventilation, and hemodynamic stability
  • Perform regional, spinal, and epidural anesthesia techniques
  • Place arterial lines and central lines as needed
  • Participate in in-house call rotation
  • Collaborate with physicians, surgical teams, and clinical staff
  • Support care in both hospital and ambulatory surgery center environments
Case Mix
  • Orthopedic (including complex cases)
  • Vascular and thoracic procedures (non-cardiac open heart excluded unless otherwise specified)
  • Neurosurgical (head and spine)
  • Obstetrics
  • Pediatric and neonatal cases
  • Trauma and general surgery
  • Regional anesthesia and pain management techniques
Requirements
  • Active Virginia CRNA license
  • Board Certified CRNA
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ABLS certifications
  • Experience managing complex surgical cases
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume anesthesia practice
Schedule & Call
  • Scheduled clinical hours with in-house call coverage
  • Call response time: 45 minutes
  • Call volume and patient load vary
